The 4th annual WOMEN TAKE THE WALLS exhibition features 14 women artists who use an array of mediums that include watercolor and oil painting, photography, nature-based sculptures, handmade jewelry, mixed media cartoon taxidermy animal sculptures, borosilicate and cast glass, textile and fiber collages, hair sculpture, fiber vessels, wearable art of silk and wool, acrylic painting on canvas, and traditional Great Lakes embroidery style native bead work.

Don’t miss this 2nd annual BFF Show at this wonderful Indianapolis gallery. BFF, 2026 celebrates friends and art collaborations between them. Here, ceramic artist, Cris Rivas and I, collaborated to make a children’s book about our friendship, illustrated in our own style - Cris’ drawn on black paper with gel pens; mine collaged using origami paper.

This juried, biennial show features work from contemporary midwest makers from a variety of media. Artwork from IN, IL, WI, MI, OH, KY, MN, IA and MO were considered by the juror. So honored to have my piece, Heart that Opens, selected.. It is a pinch-formed clay heart, with a hinged opening; saggar-fired, with a poppy seed-pod hinge pin.

Juried by Kolt Lucius Sizer.
